Using a PDA or similar device, a sales person who is with a
customer can check account history, stock levels and prices there
and then. Customers can order immediately and invoices raised
accordingly, removing unecessary delays between sales and invoicing.
With constant access to data, there is no requirement for sales
staff to transport files. Their expenses and timesheets can be
completed remotely and customers can sign for services or goods
electronically.
Admin costs are reduced together with immediacy of the sale,
invoice and fulfilment process being handled by sales staff.
Sales staff then spend the freed time making more sales without
the need for more frequent visits back to the office.
